Small Victories!

Today the boys are 4 weeks and 1 day old. Gestational Age: 32 weeks. One month old! So hard to believe!

Overall it has been a good week!

Brendan has stayed on feeds for the past few days and is having good growth and output. Today he’s ALMOST 3 pounds! He had a bout of edema the last few days but he’s back to normal and looking great today! He passed his eye exam and had his first vaccine. His second brain ultrasound was clear as well! He’s super fiesty and really is such a fighter!

Wright is growing like a weed and is over 4 pounds! He also passed his eye exam and had his first vaccine. His second brain ultrasound came back that his brain bleed is resolving on its own! Yay! Tonight, he graduated to the third floor! Bittersweet, because he no longer shares a pod with his brother, but we’re so excited for him to graduate! He also bottlefed for the first time today. He did so well! Still has to learn to breathe while eating but we were pleased with how he took to it. He’s back on a CPAP, but they‘re going to try to ween him off of it again next week.

The boys were reunited this week for the first time and it was just what my heart needed. Holding them together for the first time was such an amazing feeling. They look more alike than I thought! Although, I think Wright has more Phillips in him while Brendan is definitely a McMahon.

Wright was also able to receive his first snuggles from his Aunts today! Such a sweet moment!

We’re so thankful for the boys progress and all of your support! I’ll try to be better about updates. As you all know, the holidays are crazy busy. It’s been an interesting season to navigate! Thank you Lord for our many many blessings!
